Message from the Chair of the Young Democrats Committee
Hi! I'm Jake McKinney. I grew up in Houston Texas, and got my Masters in Marketing from Texas A&M. I was able to move to Key West with my wife, Alison, because I work at home for Hewlett Packard, managing all of their Market Research for the America's.
We wanted to move to Key West because we wanted to live somewhere that was laid back and accepting of other people and their ideas (Key West being a tropical island also helped).
I have 3 main goals for the Young Democrats Committee:
1. Get young people involved in local politics
2. Increase voter registration of young people
3. Improve the level of education and awareness of the issues.

YOUNG DEMOCRATS AND DEMOCRAT AFFIRMATIVE ACTION COMMITTEE TO HOLD OBAMA ELECTION CELEBRATION
To celebrate Obama’s victory one year later, the Young Democrat Committee and the Democratic Affirmative Action Committee will hold an election celebration at Nelson English Park in Bahama Village. The party will occur on Saturday, November 7th, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. There will be food, beverages and music. This is a family celebration and the entire community is welcome to attend.
