The Monroe County Young Democrats are committed to creating a bloc of young voters who will support and elect Democratic candidates to local, state and national offices as well as becoming participants in the DEC as appointed or elected members. Our events are open to any registered Democrat between the ages of 17 and 40. Our events reflect the broad diversity of our community, our nation, and the Democratic Party through college students, young workers, young professionals and young families.
Monroe County Young Democrat events are a great place to meet new people, get one-on-one time with candidates and current lawmakers, learn about issues important to our community, state and nation, and create positive memories. MEET THE YOUNG DEMOCRATS CHAIR . . . .
Kimberly was elected to serve as Chair of the Young Democrats Committee for the DEC at the November 2011 meeting. She has previously served as an officer of the DEC since 2009 as its Treasurer.
Kimberly worked on the Fair Districts Campaign of 2010 in support of Amendments 5 and 6. She also serves on the Board of the Florida Keys Chapter of the ACLU. She has lived in Key West since November 2007 and works in indigent defense.
