We are working hard to get as many Democrats as possible to pledge to vote in the 2010 elections.
Not only do we want to avoid a disaster like 1994 when Democrats didn’t bother to vote, and Newt Gingrich’s Republicans swept into power, we actually have a big opportunity this year in Florida: for the first time in 140 years we have the opportunity to elect Democrats to every position in the Florida Cabinet - Governor, Chief Financial Officer, and the Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, as well as the Florida Attorney General.
We also have a chance to reduce gerrymandering and bring fairness to electoral politics in Florida by passing Amendments 5 and 6 to improve representative democracy in Florida.
